Painful Hometown
In February 2018, I took a ten-day motorcycle trip around the island in my hometown of Hainan in order to complete my graduation design. Of course, the graduation design is just one of the reasons, but more than that, I think some people (including me), have been looking for something that belongs to the "self", something that can be summarized as the search for the meaning of one's life, just like the great writer William Somerset Maugham, the male protagonist in his book "The Razor's Edge" according to the same. Unfortunately, after this lonely journey, all I saw was a hometown full of scars, and I only reaped a body full of exhaustion.I miss that trip, I miss the people I met, I miss being alone and free to walk through the land of this island.
